There’s a version of the night where everyone meets at the venue. Three people get stuck in the Lincoln Tunnel. Two are circling for parking. One missed the opener entirely. And after the encore, your group splits across four rideshare surge fares and a 45-minute wait for a curbside pickup that never comes.

Then there’s the version where one bus picks everyone up, drops you at the gate, and is parked exactly where you left it when the show ends. Urban Sherpa Travel runs a concert and event charter bus service from NYC and New Jersey for the second kind of night.

Venues We Regularly Serve

Madison Square Garden (Manhattan)

Concerts, Knicks and Rangers games, and other arena events. Curb drop-off on 31st or 33rd, depending on event traffic patterns.

Barclays Center (Brooklyn)

Concerts, Nets games, and arena tours. Drop-off coordinated with venue staff for group entries.

MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)

Stadium concerts, NFL games, and large-scale events. We also run dedicated charters for World Cup matches at MetLife in 2026.

PNC Bank Arts Center (Holmdel, NJ)

Summer amphitheater shows on the Garden State Parkway. Parking and lawn traffic are notorious; a bus solves both.

Carnegie Hall & Lincoln Center (Manhattan)

Classical, jazz, and cultural performances. Coordinated curbside drop-off.

Beacon Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, & Capital One Arena

Smaller and mid-size venues throughout the metro.

Campus-to-Venue and Inter-Campus Transportation

For schools without robust on-campus transit, charter coverage fills the gap. We pick up at residence halls, dining commons, athletic facilities, or wherever your group actually gathers — and we drop directly at the venue, not the nearest parking garage.

Common configurations include:

    • Residence hall to off-campus event — concerts, sporting events, restaurants, retreat centers
    • Main campus to satellite location — clinical sites, field stations, partner institutions
    • Multi-stop shuttle loops — for orientation, family weekends, or campus-wide events
    • Conference and competition travel — academic conferences, debate tournaments, model UN, mock trial

If your group needs a recurring shuttle (weekly trips to a clinical site, internship placement, or athletic facility), ask about standing-charter pricing.

How Concert Group Charters Work

Pickup at your chosen location

Office, restaurant, residence hall, hotel, or a designated meeting point. One pickup or multi-stop pickups if your group is spread across the metro.

Drop-off at the venue

Coach drops off at the venue’s designated charter zone for your convenience.

Showtime coordination

Arrival timed against doors, openers, and your dinner-and-drinks plan. We built a buffer for traffic.

Post-show return window

The driver waits in the designated bus zone. After the encore, your group walks to a known location instead of standing in surge-priced limbo.

Why Groups Skip Driving & Rideshare for Events

  • Parking costs. MSG, Barclays, MetLife, and PNC all charge premium event-day rates. A charter bus removes the line item.
  • Surge pricing. Post-show rideshare surge can run 2-4x. For groups of 10+ or more, a charter is usually cheaper and always more reliable.
  • Group coordination. Nobody likes the “everyone meet outside Gate 4” group text: one bus, one pickup, one departure.
  • Designated driver, by default. Nobody in your group is driving home. The driver is.
  • Door-to-door comfort. Skip the train. Skip the cab. Skip the walk from the satellite lot.

The same logic applies to bachelorette and bachelor party bookings, as well as to larger group bus trips we run year-round.

Event Transportation for Large Groups — FAQ

Yes. You set the pickup window based on showtime; we work backward from there to build a schedule with a buffer for traffic and parking.

We plan for it. Stadium and amphitheater post-show egress is some of the worst traffic on the calendar — your driver knows the staging zones and the back routes out. Worst case, you’re on a comfortable coach with seating and AC instead of in your own car for two hours.

No fixed minimum. The math typically starts making sense around 10-15 people, depending on the venue and the vehicle. We’ll quote the right size for your group.
